Need Player Starts? How do i add player starts? Select View --> Database --> On --> Open the "Special Objects" then select Recovery Point. Now select "Properties" Tab of the Database --> select the mode you wish to create "example: Us Coop"How do i add weapons i have the geometry for my map just no weapons or spawn points... Select View --> Database --> On --> Open the "Special Objects" then select "Player" from the list. Now select "Properties" Tab of the Database --> select the script you want to assign to that player. (The scripts should be located in the scripts folder in your Data folder of your mapname). Make sure you do not assign the same script to another artificial intelligence player (or your game will crash when you join it)...you will also need to place waypoints for your vc to move around ...press O then select "normal" then double click to place the waypoint..then place another waypoint again..then press "p" to connect the waypoints by selecting the other waypoint (you will see the waypoints connected by a green line between them)..the object is to make a spiderweb mesh for optimal AI movements...How about a What u need to do to make Multiplayer Map Post? This depends upon what mode you wish to create...CTF?...Coop?...TDM?..DM?...this is done in similar fashion...the information for these modes are in the help section of the editor...Rick (Chavez_US) btw this is for VC1...not VC2...VC2 is more complicated and to tell you the truth i dont have time right now to do anything for VC2...

hi, i dont get what u mean about placing scripts to a playerstart for the AI? i dont want to make it co-op, just dm tdm and CTF
i placed 2 recovery points sets to DM and made a game mode Deathmatch and finalized it.
Works when testing in editor but just a black screen when hosting ?? and cant spawn or do anything, no mouse cursor ?

For CTF, DM and TDM:
Too add player Recovery Points for each mode: A. Select Entities --> Create --> Recovery Point B. Open Editor Panel (View --> Editor Panel --> On) C. Select Properties tab D. In the Mode window, select which type of mode for the recovery point (DM, US_Flag, VC_Flag, etc)
For Weapons: 1. Select Entities --> Create --> Level Item. 2. Select View --> Editor Panel --> On --> Select "Properties" tab 3. Item category = Weapons 4. type = (whatever weapon you want from the selection window that opens) 5. Entities --> Create --> Level Item. 6. Select View --> Editor Panel --> On --> Select "Properties" tab 7. Item category = Ammo 8. type = (whatever ammo you want from the selection window that opens). Each weapon you place requires at least 4 clips of ammo. 9. Press F8 --> F9 to go into your map. Check and see if anything is floating off the box you place these on, and adjust the height accordingly. Sometimes this task can be tedious. 10. Last step is to F8-F9-save scene, then 11. Editor --> Mulitiplayer game editor --> Game name = (name of your map) 12. Game types "New" 13. Game type name = DM or TDM or CTF 14. Game type description = description of your mode. (this appears when the person is adding your map to their server) Example DM description here would be "Death Match - Kill everyone before they kill you" 15. Game type US and Game type VC - This is what players will see when they join a particular side (E.g. for TDM = "Kill all opposing forces before they take out your team") 16. Max num players = (how many respawn points did you place for each mode?) Typically i place 20 total DM respawn points, 20 TDM respawn points, and 40 CTF respawn points. So, in my instance, for DM it would be 20, for TDM it would be 20, and CTF would be 40. 17. Script type = dm_uc or tdm_uc or ctf_uc 18. You'll have to go through each mode you want to add by following the steps above. Once satisfied then f8-f9-save scene (at a location from where you want people to see when they join your game). 19. Go to your root vietcong folder --> Levels --> Your mapname folder --> backup folder --> Delete all the files ending with .sco 20. In the Editor Select File --> Finalize MP Mission
If you werent able to join the game after finalizing, it could be the way you made the parameters for the game...like you accidentally set the minimum time to 60 and maximum to 90 and default to 30 (which is less than the minimum value you entered)...i did this accidentally a few times in the beginning and once it was corrected, everything worked perfect...
hope this resolves your problem, otherwise reply...
