ABOUT VC1 MAPS: I'm quite satisfied of my map, just remain few questions I cannot reply: 1) texture problems: it's not easy to explain: playing the map in game mode appear some constant "blinking overlay red and yellow points, similar to fire effect".. normally it depends on tex problems.. but vannot understand why and what: all tex and objects come from "G" apart one small watchtower 2) couldn't use / understand the grass editor: where to source grass modes? 3) rain: another interrogative point for me any help? THX

1) texture problems: it's not easy to explain: playing the map in game mode appear some constant "blinking overlay red and yellow points, similar to fire effect".. normally it depends on tex problems.. but vannot understand why and what: all tex and objects come from "G" apart one small watchtower Some of the objects in the database, including terrains, have thin walls, or "overlapping" polygons...it might be these you see...or, it could be that you accidentally pressed F11 on accident....or, could be a setting in your "Show types" area...press Control+H...select "none", then select "object"...this may be the problem... 2) couldn't use / understand the grass editor: where to source grass modes? Ever since i first started editing i wanted to figure out the grass editor...never did figure it out...so if you do figure it out...please share this information with me 3) rain: another interrogative point for me In the Editor select: Help-->Search-->type in the word "rain"-->Select "Scene initialization files-->Read this area thoroughly... We also have a topic about adding rain to your map in these forums...find that and read it as well.. Rick (Chavez_US)

I believe the color setting you will need to use is 0,128,255 in photoshop or similar paint type program... So first you take the bitmap image in the editor, then you add (brush or paint) that specific blue color (0,128,255) to your bitmap without coloring over the "little white dot" which is in the center of the bitmap image... I am new here. Hi all VETs and all. I have problem with editing. I working on map TaProhm from -Tune- www.tune.altervista.org/, he made this map in ctf dm tdm, I making coop. How to add weapons to map in coop mode? I saw the_embassy - its vet map?

How to add weapons to map in coop mode? Obie made a tutorial on how to add weapons to a coop map. It is a modified TDM script made for coop. His tutorial is located at www.vietcong-coop.net (Thx Don T. for hosting). The tutorial is located inside of the "VariousScripts.rar"...download that file and extract and view. Good luck. The_embassy - its a vet map? Yes, this map was taken from VC2, and converted over to VC1 by SAS OZ (one of our best map editors and scripters)...

hello,
Been playing and still playing VC1 for a few years now and made some maps along the way. Nothing to flash just re-edits of NVA and so on.
I have been making some maps in the past month with bots on 1 side only so everyone can be on the same team fighting bots in CTF and having allot of fun playing them.
I notice the last post here was Jan 25, 2010 just over a year ago and I hope someone is still around.
2 things.
I would like to know how to make or change a script so when joining a game with bots it loads like coop and you can only join 1 team.
the other is importing my own image. I already know how to make .dds files and know to save them in the tex folder and reload the tex BD but after doing that, what is it I need to do next?
any support on this would be great.

you need to make a .bes file and apply the dds texture to the .bes file in 3dsmax
