Ok I have another stupid question. Do I need FA to play VET maps? For some reason I cant open them.

once you extract files from a .rar you may have a folder within a folder...double check that...also make sure you have both the .cbf and .dat files for the map in your maps folder...some of the maps we have are vc vs. us so the very first time you load and play them ...it will crash you to your desktop...after that , they are good to go...just double check your maps folder for all the VET maps that arent opening...feel free to post the ones that arent working for you...
