I'm very sorry for these CD keys problems, but I just want to say Pterodon have no influence on CD keys now - it's up to GameSpy and Take2.

All we could do we did - I mean testing of CD keys system during our beta testing .

As you, I hope it's going to be solved soon...

MULTIPLAYER + CD KEYS problem - EXPLANATION

Let me explain exactly what have happened.
The CD keys has to be submitted to the specialized GameSpy server and activated so they are there and working.
There are 3 batches of CD keys. Small one used for the Czech version activated directly by Pterodon, one batch of keys probably used for the EU version submitted and activated by 2K in September and the last batch of keys, that is probably used for US version, that was submitted, but not activated till today.

2K were explaining that the problem was in the shops, who provided the game before the planned release date, and thus the CD keys were not yet activated. I am not going to judge what happened exactly and whose fault is it, but the fact was that any of the US keys were not working.

After urgently solving this situation from our side, 2k stated that they are dealing with GameSpy and that the missing keys will be activated later today. It seems that it's working now.

Please if you encounter any other problem with the installer or with the CD keys, please let me know by email or PM. We will try to help you by advice or try to find help for you.

Big sorry for all the frightened US gamers, that have experienced this problem. It seems that the american market is not the easy on for us, you may remember that VC1 had problem with copy-protection slowing down the game in the US version. Uffff. What a day.

----On Thurday night, I was playing for a full hour (before I had to sleep) between 1am and 2am, on a server hosted by Charlie90. Today I have been dropped from three servers with either Server Lost or Join Failed - CD Key in Use errors.
----The question is, WTF is going on here? is the GS server always retunring the wrong response, regardless of validity, or is the game misinterpreting the result, or are there genuinely thousands of duplicated keys out there.

----Yeah im having this too, arpund 5 times since friday. "Cd key already in use"...i expect a patch or the problem to be solved within a week or its good bye to vietcong 2, i dont complain about the graphics or framerate etc or slag the game but not being able to play it or gettin kicked out of it when the game is bugged is very very annoying
