We are trying something new for VC2 called COOP-CTF. Teams of 8-12 people use cooperative tactics to capture/defend the flag.
Basically this is how it works...
At the start of each round the medic is teamleader...(in the first 5 minutes) he will assign point man, and who stays behind, and who attacks and so forth...One side defends by using his manpower accordingly (some like to keep 80% of their team near the flag and send the other 20% out into the field to disrupt enemy advances), or those 20% keep the attacking team from scoring if the other team takes out the 80% defenders...
On the other side, the attacking team may use 100% of their team to get the flag and bring it back...Some elect to split up the attacking team 33%,33%33% and try assaulting from different flank angles. Some like to assault with 80% and send the other 20% out to disrupt the defenders and fool them that is where the attacking team is coming from...
Its alot like playing Chess,...strategy from the Medic (teamleader) is a vital key to success...If you die while attacking/defending you respawn and go to designated area, and wait for either side to win/lose in attacking or defending. And that put emphasis on how you play (risky will get you killed, and organized with teamwork will keep you alive)..It all depends on whether you want to sit around and watch others play, or be in the action playing cooperatively...
Game is set-up so that after one side scores then the map is restarted and everyones kills/deaths are changed to zero/zero. You can easily see who hasnt died yet with tab key. Vote kicking will be enabled, in case admins arent there...
On teamspeak the respective teamleaders will have 5 minutes to organize and plan the attack/defense...when the round begins the password will be set...and then the excitement begins...
Here are the instructions for Ventrilo and its adress for teamspeak...
Here is the adress for Teamspeak 2 client for teamspeak...
Have fun and follow orders of the respective teamleader!!!
