if you have previously installed plugs for VC1 editing please remove those...and then install these for VC2...

or if you have two versions of 3dsmax use one for making maps for VC1 and the other newer version for making maps for VC2...

Here are some .OBJ plugins that you can use for your 3dsmax version(s)...

this will allow you to import/export your max objects/terrains from higher max versions to lower max versions (and vice versa) without errors...

Put the two files into your 3DSMax?-->plugins folder...then open your 3DSMax? version

Choose export (or import) wavefront ?.OBJ and you're good to go...
