Ok... i have done finalizing a map... my second time now. But it only works if i copy a DEV Folder, and the VER and GEV Datas in my Main Level Folder. I wanted to start the map via Editor. Open Editor and go to the Game Main Menu. I see the map in mappool and try to open it, but then it shows me these Error Messages: Maybe they help. Of course i pressed ok but the messages are arriving again and again and never stop. The loader goes on until this comes: bildupload.sro.at/a/thumbs/Chavez_3.jpgBut as you see... error messages dont let me go on^^

That problem is solved. But now another one comes up...! If i join my game i see everything white. ufff... not anymore. In Editor mode the textures are there... But now... i have another problem^^
I press respawn and time goes down ( respawn time ) when its time to spawn it sais: c_GM_MP_RespawnGroup::GetBestRespawn() Error and after i pressed ok: SC_MP_RespawnPlayer(1,2)failed! And i am back in specs mode... ______________________________________________________ SOLVED ______________________________________________________
Now another problem. I dont see the textures ingame. I see them in editor jea... but not ingame. Everything is white. And when i started map in editor it said something with ''Marok''. I dont know... hopefully you do.

i have no idea why those errors are occurring for you when you try to open the map from within the editor...
I have however come across the white textures problem,...dont forget that these methods we use are workarounds, and the editor is also a little buggy itself...when i made the StreamV2 map with Nix i ran into the same problem,...i believe i rebuilt the TEXDB.dat file again (located in the Vietcong 2/dev folder) and the second time i packed the map the textures appeared...not sure why the textures were white the first time...but the second time it worked for me...
try rebuilding the texdb and then taking the dev folder with the new TEXDB.dat file from the main VC2 root folder and packing the map again...

Well... its very difficult to dont loose the control as you know. I think i make the same, always. Here are my steps i go on to MAKE a map in vietcong 2.
1.) Just make a new Folder in Vietcong 2/Levels - lez call it ''NewMap''.
2.) Copy the 'terrain_newmap.bes' and 'sky_newmap.bes' in this folder and of course the Textures used in the 'TEX' Folder in the same Main Folder.
3.) Copy the Scripts you know you will need in your 'Vietcong2/Levels/NewMap/Data/NewMap/Scripts/MP/*.*
4.) Open the MAP via Vietcong 2 Editor and change whatever you want. Just added some trees and CTF gamemode. - Safe the SCENE!
5.) In Editor press Tools/Version prepocess/Recompile all Scripts!
6.) In Editor press Tools/Rebuild TexDB! Copy the TexDB.dat Data in your Vietcong2/dev/*.* Folder into your Map Main Folder ( Vietcong2/Levels/NewMap/*.*! )
Now are very very crazy steps coming. What I do now is:
7.) Create a new Folder in your Map Main Folder ( Vietcong2/Levels/NewMap/*.* ) - call it 'LEVELS'
8.) In the Folder LEVELS make a new Folder and call it ''NewMap''! - copy these Folders into it ( and delete them from there old home):
NewMap.sco terrain_newmap.bes sky_newmap.bes Folder 'TEX' Folder 'Backup' ( if there ) Folder 'DATA'
Now are coming the steps where i dont know where to get these datas. PLS Tell me Chavez.
9.) Go Back to your MAP Main Menu Folder and copy an 'GEV.dat' and 'VER.dat' from the Map StreamV2 ( i just used this... because you worked on it) in your MAP Main Menu Folder.
10.) Go in this folder: - Vietcong2/Levels/NewMap/Levels/NewMap/Data/NewMap and copy the ''MAPFPV' from StreamV2 in this folder.
Steps i think are very crazy^^
11.) Create your USERMAP.ini and your Thumbnail. - pay attention that the USERMAP.ini and your Thumbnail will be copied in this Folder: Vietcong2/Levels/NewMap/*.*
12.) Now open BF Creator. In Directories and Masks it should read: Vietcong2\Levels\NewMap\*.*
In Output file it should read: Vietcong2\Maps\NewMap.vc2m
Should work perfect.
And Textures are working perfect now. But where can i get the 'VER.dat' and 'GEV.dat' ?

The GEV.dat and VER.dat i got from Indiglow site from their Wasteland Starter map. I was told by them to use those files from that file to make my own map...not sure where they got these from...
Anyways appears you got the map to finalize and show up in the maps list right?
I still cannot get my mapname to appear...i must be doing something wrong,...ill figure it out eventually,..too much stuff going on in my life currently...eg College Physics for the next 10 weeks...
