In order for you and others to play your map you must pack the map into the proper .vc2m and .cbf files...
To make the .vc2m file:
1. Make a folder in your c: drive and name it "package".
2. Make sure you compiled all the scripts, and made your thumbnail before you do next step...
3. Use the UMIC to create your usermap.ini file
4. Place all of the contents of your (mapname) from your level folder in the folder named "package"...
5. Start the BF Creator...
In the "Directories and Masks" box it should read...
~c:\package\*.*
In the "CBF parameters" it should read...
c:\package\YourMapname.vc2m
6. Click the "Start" button
You will now have a yourmapname.vc2m file in your package folder...now move the "package" folder to a new location ( i make a new folder and name it "MapName packing folders" and i put it in there)
Next you will need to create the .cbf file
For this you must make several folders...there will be nothing in these folders except for one folder..the "MP" folder
Heres the steps:
1. make a folder named "package"
2. inside the "package" folder make a folder named "Levels"
3. inside the "Levels" folder make a folder named "YourMapname"
4. inside the "YourMapname" folder make a folder named "Data"
5. inside the "Data" folder make a folder named "YouMapname"
6. inside the "YourMapname" folder make a folder named "Scripts"
7. inside the "Scripts" folder make a folder named "MP"
8 inside the "MP" folder place your compiled scripts (ie: FLAG_US, FLAG_VC, CTF, and whatever other modes you compiled)
9. start the BF creator
In the "Directories and Masks" box it should read...
~c:\package\*.*
In the "CBF parameters" it should read...
c:\package\YourMapname.cbf
6. Click the "Start" button
this will create YourMapname.cbf file and will be located in your package folder...
Now take both the YourMapname.vc2m and the YourMapname.cbf and place them into your maps folder into c:/Programs/Vietcong2/maps folder
start your VC2 game and load your map...it should work perfect!
